Go India – Chhattisgarh takes one across the state, to both major tourist destinations, as well as undiscovered hidden sanctuaries.
Vivacious host Kim Jagtiani takes us on a tour of the state of Chhattisgarh: green, regal and steeped in lyrical tradition. Through this six day journey, she discovers the place, people and their lives.
Our host is guided by a student, an archaeologist, a wildlife spotter, a royal hotelier, a photographer and an NGO volunteer as she is taken through Raipur, Sirpur, Barnawapara, Kanker, Chitrakote, Jagdalpur and Gumadpal.
The film follows Kim’s journey as she visits an old Buddhist monastery, an ancient temple, a wildlife sanctuary, a royal palace, prehistoric caves and the ‘Indian Niagra’ among other places. This documentary takes one through an experience like no other, with stilt dancing, red ant chutney and tribal drums being just a few of the wonderfully unique things to look forward to.
Go India – Chhattisgarh is an entertaining yet informative travelogue, taking one through the riveting state that is Chhattisgarh.
