Animation
With a
unique confluence of writers and animators under one roof, Miditech now
has a studio dedicated to original animation content. Animation, with
this motley group, is seen and done in a fresh light. Together, we
explore the high which Indian painters and performers felt when they
were initiated into this fantastic medium early last century. We see
animation not only as entertainment but also as an expression of the
individual, a community, and a culture. When animation studios across
the country plunge deep into outsourced animation projects, Miditech
chooses to focus on original Indian animation content, convinced that
out of our long tradition of plastic and performing arts will evolve
great cinema – based on animation.Narrative traditions and
styles of representation in the folk, the classical and the
contemporary drawn from our regional ethos find new expression as
animation. Working closely with educationists, researchers and writers,
animation designers are introduced to the exercise of creating art for
a cause, that of education and integration. The ocean of our narrative
traditions drives this endeavor. That these films are regularly tested
for the content by the most demanding of audience and will be showcased
in the best of television channels across the world is an incentive to
do great animation.
